Sophie (17) & Kai (18) from Germany

Hello Guys

We are students from Germany (Bonn) and we were in London for three weeks (18.11.2019-08.12.2019). At the first week we had a training course by ADC College and  two week’s internship at Commun-IT. Our two weeks at Commun-IT flew by. We have experienced a lot but it was best when we were allowed to go to primary schools to teach the children coding.

If we weren’t at the internship or the ADC College, we were exploring London. We were at the Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Camden Market and so on. On 28th November we went to Wembley Stadium to watch a soccer game.

We had three wonderful weeks in London. Many thanks to the whole team of Commun-IT for the last two weeks.

Thank you for everything.

To all interns which are reading this I will say: DON’T BE SCARED!!!

Commun-IT is an amazing company all members of the team are friendly, funny, willing and from my sight it’s more like family.

I am glad that I had this amazing opportunity to work here for 3 weeks. I met new amazing friends, cultures and most importantly I gain lots of priceless experiences.

I am really thankful that they accepted me into their team and I could play Top Golf with them. It was fun and I enjoyed it so much. To be honest, at the beginning I had no clue what I am going to do and  my knowledge about IT stuff and coding its very low.😃

It was my first time in London and I really enjoyed it, everybody is friendly and always smiling. London is beautiful city I went sightseeing with my friends, visited various museums and went to football match.⚽ I am planing to visit this glorious city in the future again and also visit this amazing place and people COMMUN-IT!

Maximilian(18) Potsdam, Germany

I got the opportunity to live in London from 11th of November till the 1st of December, i spent the first of those weeks at ADC College doing a language course, followed up by two weeks of work experience at Commun-IT.

It was a great experience being able to not only visit, but live and work here and to see the big city from all its angles.

Of course we spent our free time visiting all the different attractions like Tower bridge, Big Ben, Camden market, various football stadiums and so on and at the end of the day we found ourselves sipping a glass of milk in our favourite Irish pub.

I also really enjoyed my time at Commun-IT, they were all really nice and kept me busy, also getting to see another company work and taking part in their work gave me a different perspective to my work in Germany.

Thanks for having me 🙂

Ahojte!

It’s Katarína 1.0 and Michael 2.0.

If you‘re interns and you just got here, you‘re probably reading this and you‘re scared. Don‘t worry. We were as well. But in the end, it was actually great experience, we had such great time and we’re happy that we got to this company. People here are such characters – funny, smart and ambitious and we will miss them! We worked here as admins, even though they are looking for much much IT-smarter people.

To be honest, we have no idea about IT world and coding. Fortunately, our supervisor and colleagues were very creative and gave us useful work and also we went teaching with them to school, which was great! We were here in London for two weeks and we are so thankful we got this opportunity. London (and Commun-IT as well) rock!

If you are reading this post, that means…
we successfully finished our internship in Commun-IT, one of the greatest companies in Ruislip and London as well. Along with Martin, we worked super hard at Commun-IT for one month and it was the exciting adventure.
We are two students from The Czech Republic and we didn’t have any pieces of information what we gonna do in our company when we arrived. But during working for these guys and recreating their website, helping them in bus visits and empowering them in achieving their vision, we found out that we are really enjoying what we are doing and we were really happy that they took us as a valuable part of their team.

We created videos how can future looks like (that inspired more than 100 students across London’s Primary Schools), we kick off the new website for Commun-IT where we reduce content by 86 % of original size, we created a presentation and flyer, played top golf and we absolutely enjoyed that.
In Commun-IT works bunch of great people with the incredible mission to help children become a digital leader. We are happy for them. Thank you in everything, thank you for that super exciting adventure.
See ya in funny papers 🙂

 Hello Guys!:)

We are two students from Germany (Detmold) and we were here on an internship for 2 weeks from the 28th August until the 7th September.

Our internship at the Commun-IT was very interesting and full of new experiences. The working hours were from 8.30 to 16.30. We were greeted very friendly by the team on the first day and had to introduce ourselves. Our job was to seek out schools that were open at the time and ready to learn something about the IT. It was very nice!

The highlight from London was to be experienced with a boat through the water and to watch London from a boat. Of course we were on the Tower Bridge and saw the skyline of London. It was incredible!

Thank your for everything!

Auf Wiedersehen! (See you soon)

Jovana

Hello guys!

My name is Jovana Obradovic and attend the college of business administration in Tirol (Austria).
I have been in London for 4 whole weeks from 02/07/2018 – 27/07/2018.
I had an amazing time in this Country and in the company as well.

During my internship at Commun-IT I had a great time. I learned a lot of new things in the Media industry.
I had always the dream to learn how I can cut and edit a Video and now I know it and it is an excellent feeling to come back to Austria with new experience and know-how.
I collected many new skills and I can use them in the future.

The most exciting thing was when we went to different primary schools to teaching children coding.
It makes clearly how necessary technology is nowadays and will be in the future for the younger generations.

I got a view how people work in another country and in Commun-IT the people work as a team together they look like a little family.
They are always kind and helpful to each other. It makes a lot of fun to work in this company. The s
taff members are individual in their own way.

It shows that is not relevant from where you are, every have another cultural background but they work amazing together.

I want to say THANK YOU to Commun-IT for the great time in London and to got the great opportunity to make this internship.

Good bye <3

Servus (Hi)

We are trainees from Germany (Bavaria) and we were here on an internship for 2 weeks from the 9th July until the 20th July.

We visited London for 3 weeks. In our first week we had language lessons at the ADC college and the last 2 weeks were staying here.

Our time at Commun-It were very exciting. On our first day we came in the office and 10 minutes later we were visiting a school. This was really cool! We enjoyed the time at the schools a lot.  Our tasks there were to teach pupils the basics of coding and show them robots, virtual reality and 3D printing. This will be a lovely memory for us! Thanks a lot. 😊

The highlight for us was the Topgolf-evening with Michael and Andreas. It was so much fun and we will keep that in our memories.

Thank you so much for everything! It was really an exciting time with many experiences and great colleagues. We will gladly look back on this time…

Habe die Ehre! (good bye)

Pia

Hi.

My name is Pia. I’m in the 2nd year of my apprenticeship as an industrial administrator at Andreas Hettich GmbH & Co. KG (Germany).

From 17/06/2018 till 14/07/2018 I got the opportunity to do an internship in London, including 1 week lessons at ADC College and 3 weeks working at Commun-IT.

At Commun-IT I had to do a lot of research. But we also went to schools to teach children the basics of coding and showed them how to play e.g. with robots and virtual reality. In this case I interviewed some pupils and teachers about their opinion of the importance of coding. I absolutely loved it to work with the kids and I am very thankful for this great opportunity 🙂

One of my highlights was the Topgolf-evening! It was just great fun and one of the memories that I wouldn’t wanna miss 🙂

I really enjoyed working in the team of Commun-IT since it was always a great balance between working, learning and having fun. Each member of the team has a lovely character and a great personality. I don’t think I’ve already realised how much I will miss you guys. It was a pleasure meeting you 🙂

Thanks for everything- especially for a lot of unforgettable moments! Have a great time and take care….

Sincerely,

Pia
